How do I report a lost pet?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen, select "Lost Pet", add photos of your pet, enter their details and last known location, then post. Your listing will be visible to other users in your area.

I found a lost pet. What should I do?

Create a "Found Pet" post with photos and the location where you found them. Check the existing "Lost Pet" posts in your area to see if there's a match. You can also contact your local shelter or veterinarian to check for a microchip.

How do notifications work?

When you enable notifications, you'll receive alerts when new animals are posted near your location. You can manage notification settings in the app under Settings.

How do I contact someone about their post?

Open any animal post and tap the contact buttons to call or email the poster directly. Contact information is only shown if the user has chosen to display it.

Can I edit or delete my post?

Yes! Go to your profile, find the post you want to modify, and tap the edit or delete option. You can also mark a post as "Resolved" when a lost pet is found or an animal is adopted.

Is StrayRescue free to use?

Yes, StrayRescue is completely free. There are no fees to post, browse, or contact other users.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the app and select "Delete Account". Your account will be deactivated immediately and your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

What should I do if I see inappropriate content?

Please report it to us immediately at support@strayrescue.app with details about the post. We take content violations seriously and will review all reports promptly.
